Three interesting silver wine labels. The first, brandy, is not marked. The port label is hallmarked 1915, makers marked for Smith Bros. The largest, sherry, is hallmarked London 1960. This one is engraved to the reverse "To commemorate the opening of John Harvey and Sons, Bond 100, at Whitchurch, Bristol, 3rd October 1960". Harveys are renowned for there "Bristol Cream" sherry. All these were formerly owned by the Cooke family at Athelhampton House in Dorset. Athelhampton is one of the finest 15th Century manor-houses and is surrounded by one of the great architectural gardens of England.
The Sherry label is 42mm wide, 37 mm high.
Carriage and insurance is included on most items within UK and Mainland Europe. There may be exceptions such as bulky, heavy objects or framed pictures. Elsewhere please inquire about carriage costs.
We have been collecting and dealing in high quality antiques for many years. Particularly Japanese Art and antique Jewellery.
Previously we have been standing at antique fairs and this is our first venture into online dealing and welcome customers old and new.
